Griffiths and Dembele to lead the line – Predicted 3-4-1-2 Celtic line-up to take on Rangers

Predicted Celtic Line-up To Face Rangers In The Scottish Cup

Celtic will face off against bitter rivals Rangers FC in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup at the Hampden Park on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are on the verge of winning the Scottish Premiership once again and will be keen on advancing to the finals of the cup too, in order to stand a chance of completing a historic treble once again, having already gotten their hands on the Scottish League Cup.

The Hoops have already beaten the Gers twice this season, with one more game ending in a draw.

Probable Celtic XI

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Craig Gordon (GK)

The veteran shot-stopper recently reached a personal milestone by making his 200th appearance for Celtic, in the goalless draw against Dundee.

Jack Hendry (CB)

The Scottish international has been quite solid since arriving in the winter transfer window and is likely to be trusted with a spot in the back three.

Dedryck Boyata (CB)

It has been a season of inconsistencies for the former Manchester City man, with injuries not helping his cause one bit. Will want to put up a strong display in the derby.

Kristoffer Ajer (CB)

The Norwegian youngster has been one of the rising stars of the season for the Bhoys. The composure and the maturity that he has displayed at the back has been very impressive.

James Forrest (RWB)

The 26-year-old has scored 16 times this season along with 8 assists for his teammates in 51 games across competitions.

Scott Brown (CM)

The club captain is a key presence in the middle of the park. Helps the team stay on the front foot using his aggression and tenacity.

Stuart Armstrong (CM)

The Scottish international wasn’t a part of the starting XI in Celtic’s 2-1 win over Hamilton this past weekend but is in line for a recall.

Kieran Tierney (LWB)

Back from injury, the Hoops defender looked solid and steady against Hamilton. A definite starter against the Gers.

Callum McGregor (CAM)

The Scottish international was on the scoresheet this past weekend and will look to carry the momentum from the game against Graeme Murty’s men.

Leigh Griffiths (ST)

Scored the winning goal against the Accies on Sunday, bagging his 98th goal for the club. Will want to reach the 100-goal mark by scoring against the Light Blues in the upcoming game.

Moussa Dembele (ST)

The French marksman had a quiet game this weekend and will be looking to bounce back with a more impactful display against the Gers.
