Guardiola to make 3 changes – Predicted 4-3-3 Manchester City XI to face Manchester United

Predicted Manchester City Line-up To Face Manchester United In The Premier League

The lights are on, the curtain has risen, the scene is set, the biggest clash of the Premier League season is about to begin. Can Manchester City beat Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium to claim the Premier League title and flaunt their domination in front of their rivals?

Manchester City come into this fixture off the back of that massive loss against Liverpool in the Champions League, but the motivation of winning the Premier League should help them put that loss behind and perform strongly in this game.

Probable Manchester City XI

Manager: Pep Guardiola

Formation: 4-3-3

Ederson (GK)

The 24-year-old has been an ever-present in the league for Manchester City this season. As good with his feet as he is with his hands, he will be looking to bounce back from the Liverpool game by keeping a clean sheet here.

Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB)

Zinchenko has broken into the Manchester City first-team brilliantly this season, forcing himself past Danilo into the left-back position. He offers a threat going forward whilst also defending well on the left-hand side.

Vincent Kompany (CB)

Since coming back from injury, Kompany has featured in nearly every one of Man City’s games as one of Pep’s centre-backs. He has managed to recapture his form and roll back the years in the heart of the defence.

Nicolas Otamendi (CB)

Otamendi has played in 30 of Manchester City’s 31 league games this season, making him Pep Guardiola’s most important centre-back. A far cry from how he first looked when he came to the Premier League back in 2015. Will be looking for another clean sheet on Saturday.

Kyle Walker (RB)

Kyle Walker has made the right-back role his own this season and has also provided 6 assists this season. He’s dangerous going forward and is solid at the back. Walker is a top-quality full-back.

Kevin De Bruyne (CM)

One of the best players in the Premier League. He has chipped in with 7 goals and 15 assists in the league for City this season and often, these creations can come out of nowhere. City will be looking for a big performance from him on Saturday.

Fernandinho (left) and Otamendi (right)

Fernandinho (CM)

Fernandinho has started in this position in the last few league games for City. Strong defensively, he sits in the middle of the park and breaks up the play, enabling City to play on the counter-attack.

David Silva (CM)

Another of Man City’s magicians in the middle, the 32-year-old has been a standout performer in this team of superstars, having 11 assists and 8 goals in the Premier League this season. Will be hoping to combine with De Bruyne again to cause havoc against Manchester United.

Raheem Sterling (RW)

Sterling has been dangerous for Man City all season and has 16 goals and 7 assists in the league. Adds pace and skill to Man City’s right-wing.

Leroy Sane

Leroy Sane (LW)

Sane has been a class act for Man City this season. He didn’t start consistently early on in the season but has forced Pep Guardiola to keep picking him now as he is in such good form. He adds trickery and pace to City’s left-wing.

Sergio Aguero (ST)

Aguero was massively missed by Man City for their fixture against Liverpool and they will be hoping that he returns to his good form on Saturday. He has been essential for City this season and as promising as Jesus is, he just doesn’t strike fear into the hearts of the opposition defenders as much as Aguero does.
