Hakimi and Ronaldo To Start – Strongest 4-3-1-2 Real Madrid Line-up To Face Eibar In La Liga

Predicted Real Madrid Line-up To Face Eibar In La Liga

Real Madrid have found some momentum in La Liga after their stuttering start to the season, winning three games on the trot. They continue to suffer from form related issues however, as was evident in the 1-1 draw against Tottenham in the mid-week Champions League fixture. Los Blancos’ poor home record in the league this season will worry Zidane as they play host to Eibar at the Santiago Bernabeu. They previously slipped up against Real Betis, Valencia and Levante in the Spanish capital. With a narrow 2-1 win over Getafe, Real have edged to 3rd spot in the league and are 5 points adrift of leaders Barcelona.

Team news

Gareth Bale has been training with the team but is not ready to return to the pitch just yet. Keylor Navas suffers from a groin problem, while Kovacic is sidelined. Dani Carvajal has been suffering from a cardiac problem for quite a while and Varane is doubtful as well.

Formation: 4-3-1-2

Manager: Zinedine Zidane

Kiko Casilla (GK)

Casilla will have to step up for the challenge in the absence of Keylor Navas. He’d be itching to do well and prove a point to Zidane.

Achraf Hakimi (RB)

In the absence of Dani Carvajal, 18-year-old rookie Hakimi was the right-back who was deployed against Tottenham. While he looked threatening going forward, he seemed a tad vulnerable at the back.

Sergio Ramos (CB)

Ramos didn’t have the best of games and often got exposed against Tottenham but he’ll hope to get back to his best against Eibar.

Sergio Ramos

Nacho Fernandez (CB)

With Varane being doubtful for the match, Nacho may get the nod instead.

Marcelo (LB)

Marcelo seemed to struggle against Aurier in the Champions League fixture but recovered afterwards and seemed strong while defending and surging forward to attack.

Casemiro (DM)

Casemiro got exposed when Tottenham went on the counter by the numbers. But he will look to dominate proceedings against Eibar.

Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos (CM)

Smooth with his passing lanes and tremendously intelligent on the ball, Kroos won the penalty against Tottenham in mid-week fixture, which Ronaldo converted to salvage a point for his team.

Luka Modric (CM)

One of the best passers and playmakers in today’s era, Modric also had an imposing performance against Tottenham.

Isco (CAM)

Isco has been on a stellar run of form and is one of the most promising talents in the world. He is likely to play as the primary playmaker in the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo (extreme right)

Cristiano Ronaldo (CF)

Ronaldo came alive in the second half against Tottenham after a mediocre first one. He slotted home the penalty that brought Madrid level on the night. A certain starter, isn’t he?

Karim Benzema (ST)

Benzema was wasteful against Tottenham and was denied an opportunity by a spectacular save from Lloris. Should start this game, however.
