Burnley Player Ratings vs Cardiff City: Here’s how the Clarets fared
Burnley continued their recent surge in form by picking up another victory against Cardiff City. The Clarets triumphed 2-1 on the night and now move to 12th place on the table. Johann Berg Gudmundsson opened the scoring for Sean Dyche’s men before Joshy Murphy struck back in just 9 minutes.
Thanks to striker Sam Vokes, as he slotted it into the net to hand Burnley all three points. Sean Dyche will be relieved and glad to see a strong response from his side after failing to make it to the Europa League group stage.

Matthew Lowton (7/10)
A good performance from Lowton but he did give away a couple of clumsy fouls and picked up a yellow in the process.

Ashley Westwood (7/10)
A dominant performance from Westwood who was everywhere on the field. He also picked up an assist on the night.
Aaron Lennon (5/10)
Not the best performance from the veteran winger. Lennon was often predictable and didn’t offer much going forward.

Sam Vokes (7/10)
Vokes had his good and bad moments in the game, but he ultimately scored the winning goal.
Substitutes
Kevin Long (7/10)
Long deputised well in the absence of James Tarkowski. He has definitely assured his manager that he is capable of offering cover.
