The first big gameweek has arrived and fans are bracing themselves for two back to back derbies on Sunday. While on one hand there is the big game between Manchester United and Liverpool to be played at the Anfield stadium, on the other there is the London derby between Arsenal and Spurs. The Premier League fans as well as the Fantasy Premier League managers can expect some firecrackers from these two encounters and look forward to the Super Sunday. In the meantime, we try to provide some tips to the managers to sail through yet another gameweek.
No matches for Chelsea and Villa
It is going to be a problem for managers who have stacked their team with Chelsea and Villa players, owing to their good form. This weekend has no matches for either side and this may cause trouble to the managers who were banking Benteke or Hazard to fetch them some points. They need to use their transfer in such a manner that they can have at least a starting eleven and not be affected by this.
Liverpool defence
Last season the main problem for Liverpool was their inconsistency and if not for that, the team would have won many more matches. They are yet to shake off that problem completely with the team displaying patches of inconsistency in such a short span this season. After keeping two clean sheets in consecutive gameweeks, they conceded two goals against Notts County in the midweek. With Manchester United on the cards, we would not advise any manager to keep to many Liverpool defenders in their time at the moment.
Assaidi and Sinclair
Liverpool midfielder Oussama Assaidi and City player Scott Sinclair were surplus to their team’s requirements and thus have been loaned out to Stoke City and West Brom respectively. Assaidi will cost the managers just a mere £4.9m and is certainly a bright prospect, considering Hughes will look to make full utilisation of his quality. Sinclair, coming at £6m is another player the managers should keep a keen eye on and can turn out be a real deal for West Brom. Both the players can be extremely value for money and thus may be considered if the managers are looking for midfielders in the low to medium bracket.
