Hernandez Out, Carroll And Sakho In – Strongest 4-3-1-2 West Ham Line-up To Face Leicester City

Predicted West Ham United Line-up To Face Leicester City In The Premier League

David Moyes’ first test in London was far from productive as the Hammers fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Watford in the first game after the international break. The former Manchester United manager boss has a chance to make things right, in front of his home crowd, this weekend, when his side welcome Claude Puel’s Leicester City to the London Stadium.

The Foxes are healing from a 2-0 loss to Manchester City and are 4 points above West Ham, who are currently placed 18th in the points table. Moyes is expected to go for all three points, leaving no stone unturned.

Team News

The likes of Sam Byram, James Collins, Jose Fonte, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez are all ruled out for this game against Leicester City. Andre Ayew however, is back in training and might play a part in this game.

Formation: 4-3-1-2

Manager: David Moyes

GK – Joe Hart

The English international remains the first choice for Moyes and should keep his place in the side.

RB – Pablo Zabaleta

The veteran full-back had a decent outing against Manchester United but will hope to put in a more productive performance this weekend.

Pablo Zabaleta

CB – Winston Reid

Arguably the best defender for the Hammers at the moment, Reid, will have his work cut out against Vardy and co, in a must-win game for his side.

CB – Angelo Ogbonna

The Italian has not been at his best this season and could be put to a severe test and his performance can easily dictate the outcome of the game.

LB – Aaron Cresswell

Easily the best choice for Moyes in this role, Cresswell, should keep his place at left-back against the Foxes.

CDM – Mark Noble

The skipper of the side, Noble has been ineffective so far in the midfield but the manager should stick with his experience.

Cheikou Kouyate

CM – Chiekhou Kouyate

Adding mettle to the midfield should be the versatile Kouyate, who will be up against the likes of Iborra, which will not be an easy task.

CM – Pedro Obiang

Completing the midfield should be Obiang, whose inclusion in the squad might reduce their creativity. However, he definitely improves their stability.

CAM – Manuel Lanzini

The Argentine has been West Ham’s best source of creativity this season and he should be used in a more natural, No.10 role by the manager this weekend.

Andy Carroll

ST – Andy Carroll

The former Liverpool man is yet to open his account this season and this will be a decent chance for him to get back to goal-scoring form.

ST – Diafra Sakho

Up against the likes of Maguire and Morgan, Sakho will have his work cut out but can form a dangerous partnership with Carroll up top.

Here is how West Ham might line up against Leicester:
