Is he the man? This rising Romanian starlet would be perfect for Leeds and Bielsa must get him

Leeds United Opinion: Dennis Man would be perfect for the Whites

Leeds United are currently still very much in contention for automatic promotion to the Premier League next season and despite a fairly average run of form in recent months, their position has really come under question from the teams below.

Having already given up control of top spot to a rampant Norwich City side earlier in the season, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have now been handed the task of playing catch-up. With the season heading towards it’s final knocking, Leeds will be looking to nail down promotion.

While there is still a very high chance that they could be trumped to second place by one of the teams from the chasing pack before the end of the season, they certainly haven’t been helped by the injury to star man Kemar Roofe, which is set to keep him on the sidelines for more than a month.

With some key games still to play, Bielsa’s options are dwindling and for a team hoping for Premier League action at Elland Road, that could turn out to be a massive reality check unless drastic measures are taken from the deep within this historic football club.

Their alternate striker is Patrick Bamford and he has come into a bit of form in recent weeks and while this is good news for Whites fans, it’s on the flanks that they could find themselves heavily underpowered.

With Pablo Hernandez the only realistic right-winger and the left-wing role being shared between an 18-year-old Jack Clarke and Manchester City loanee Jack Harrison, there is an alarming need for cover on the flanks.

Ezgjan Alioski, one of their most productive wingers, has now been converted into a full-back. Also, Jack Harrison is set to return to Manchester City at the end of the season and Jack Clarke’s future is anyone’s guess at this point considering how young he is.

Bielsa must look towards the next season and acquire the services of Romanian winger Dennis Man to ensure that their long-awaited voyage into Premier League water is all smooth sailing.

His movement and dribbling can mystify defenders and when he’s running at pace, he is extremely difficult to bring down.

He uses his strength well and has the right attributes to prosper in the English game.

He also displays powerful and precise shooting skills while he can also be a fox inside the box, leaping to chances by reacting ahead of the opposition defenders.

He currently plays for Romanian club FCSB, which is short for Steaua Bucuresti in the Liga 1 Betano and has scored 7 and assisted 4 from his 24 league appearances.

At just 20, he’s at the right age to come to England and really become a product of the English game. Elland Road could be the perfect place to do just that.
