Highlights From Wilshere’s Game + Early Team News For Olympiacos Match

Monday the 1st of October 2012 is the day Arsenal fans were expecting for so long as Jack Wilshere featured in a reserve match after nearly 14 months sidelined with injuries. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that he will not force Wilshere into the main team before he gets some match practice. Well u cant expect him to start performing in his first game after 14 months can u? I would say the best place to start wud be capital one cup game vs reading.

Arsenal may not sorely miss Wilshere this season as new signing Cazorla with his Spanish compatriot Arteta are doing an excellent job in the midfield, but the arrival of Wilshere to the first team would certainly add a different flare to the attacking front for the Gunners.

Wilshere had a decent run in the game and played about 60 minutes before he was subbed off. He may not have created any assists or scored a goal but the youngster received some quality time in the pitch which will be a starting point to build his fitness back.

Moving on to tonight’s game against  Olympiacos, here is a look at the possible line-up that Wenger will opt to start.
