Hodgson to make 2 changes – Predicted 4-3-3 Crystal Palace XI to face Manchester United

Predicted Crystal Palace Lineup To Face Manchester United In The Premier League

An injury-plagued Crystal Palace welcome Manchester United to Selhurst Park on Monday. Palace come into this game after a loss against Tottenham Hotspur, and considering the fact that a good majority of their first-team members are suffering from injuries and what not, one cannot really blame them. The upcoming match will also prove to be quite a hurdle. The Red Devils have displayed decent form lately and they will be on the prowl to secure 3 precious points.

Team News

Crystal Palace will continue to be without their 12 senior players, who are all down with injuries at present. In a major blow for the club, Fosu-Mensah will not feature since he is ineligible to play against his parent club. Furthermore, James Tomkins picked up an injury against Spurs and he is unlikely to feature.

Probable Crystal Palace XI

Manager: Roy Hodgson

Formation: 4-3-3

Wayne Hennessey (GK)

Hennessey continues to be solid for Palace even as the rest of the team is crumbling apart. He put in a solid display against Spurs and he will be looking to work his magic against United as well.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

He made his debut against Tottenham and Wan-Bissaka put in an assuring display. Due to a lack of options, Hodgson is expected to deploy him in the same role once more.

Damien Delaney (CB)

Delaney replaced Tomkins in the previous game and since the latter remains doubtful, Hodgson should deploy Delaney against United.

Luka Milivojevic

Jaroslaw Jach (CB)

With Fosu-Mensah ineligible to play, Hodgson could turn to Jach. The 24-year-old will have quite a task at hand to stop an unpredictable Red Devils attack.

Patrick Van Aanholt (LB)

He put in a shaky performance against Spurs but this will be a good opportunity for him to bounce back. The team desperately needs him to do well and Van Aanholt is expected to start on Monday.

Luka Milivojevic (DM)

Milivojevic has been one of Palace’s best players this season so far. Effective at dictating terms in the midfield area, he will be crucial against United.

James McArthur (CM)

McArthur can work wonders when in form and Hodgson should start him in his usual role.

Jairo Riedewald (CM)

This is not his natural position but Riedewald did decently enough in this role against Spurs and is likely to repeat it when Jose Mourinho’s men pay a visit.

Christian Benteke of Crystal Palace

Alexander Sorloth (LW)

Sorloth looked a little weak in this position but due to a lack of options, he will have to make do with whatever opportunities he receives. And the player is expected to start on Monday.

Andros Townsend (RW)

Townsend’s creativity and experience will play a crucial role for a team that is done to its last legs. If he can get going, the Eagles could benefit from his power.

Christian Benteke (CF)

Benteke is expected to lead the line once more and he will be looking to put up a more solid display after a lacklustre show against Tottenham.
