Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has now insisted that Premier League champions Chelsea will not be firing him and he will be given more time to turn things around at Stamford Bridge. The club have made their worst start to a league campaign in quite some time, in a season where they were looking to defend their title and at present lie just above the relegation zone.

There were rumours that the Portuguese boss might not have a job soon, though the Blues’ manager has now insisted that he has the full support of owner Roman Abramovich. Talking in a recent interview about how long he feels he will be at the club, he said, “Four years. No, three years seven months, something like that. Further, when asked about a dressing room revolt, Mourinho added, “I think it’s a very sad accusation because you are using a player, or more than one player, accusing them of dishonesty,” he said, denying that there are any problems between him and his players. If I accuse you of being a dishonest journalist I think you would be very upset and probably you’d take legal action. So I think it’s a question for the players.“
