[Image] Costa and Jimenez to lead the line? Predicted 3-4-1-2 Wolves XI to face Liverpool in the Premier League

Predicted Wolves line-up to face Liverpool in the Premier League

Wolves would be aiming to keep their three-game winning run going when they face league leaders Liverpool at the Molineux on Friday night. After beating Chelsea, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men followed that up by getting the better of Newcastle United and Bournemouth. They are currently seventh in the table and in a good position to challenge for a top-10 finish.

However, it won’t be easy as the current leaders of the pack are visiting them. Jurgen Klopp’s men are yet to lose a game and look settled. But the way Wolves have been playing, the Reds won’t get an easy path to victory this Friday.

Team News

Diogo Jota has a hamstring strain and is sure to miss this game. Other than that, Nuno has a strong squad to pick his line-up from.

Probable Wolves XI

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager – Nuno Espirito Santo

Rui Patricio (GK)

The Portuguese has been in secure form this season, which is a testament to him being in the Premier League for the first time.

Ryan Bennett

Ryan Bennett (RCB)

After signing a new contract this week, Bennett would be eager to continue his good work as the right-sided centre-back.

Conor Coady (CB)

The captain has been solid at the back and his passing is pretty good as well. He will be eager to give his best against his former team.

Willy Boly (LCB)

The Frenchman has been solid. He will have his work cut out against the Liverpool attack.

Matt Doherty (RWB)

The buccaneering wing-back has done well on both fronts. Wolves’ 3-4-2-1 system works because their wing-backs have been consistent.

Joao Moutinho

Joao Moutinho (CM)

The experience of Moutinho would be key in such a big game. He has been ideal for the team since arriving in the summer.

Ruben Neves (CM)

The Portuguese youngster works very hard in the midfield on and off the ball. His forward passing should improve a bit though.

Jonny (LWB)

Wolves would be relieved that the Spaniard is back in the line-up. He possesses quality on both fronts.

Morgan Gibbs-White (CAM)

The youngster has shown great promise whenever he has been given the opportunity. With Jota out, Gibbs-White could play as a number 10 behind the front two.

Helder Costa

Raul Jimenez (ST)

The Mexican has been a source of goals and assists in abundance this season. His physical presence and movement around the box would be vital.
