In what will be a high octane encounter, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool, who will be high on confidence after their UCL qualification.

Both teams have a couple of star players missing but there are a number of exciting players who are expected to face off this weekend. But who makes the combined XI for this game? Here is our combined XI, including players who are expected to feature in this tie this weekend:

Combined lineup (4-2-3-1):

GK – Petr Cech (Arsenal):

An easy choice to make is Cech over Simon Mignolet, who has been decent for Liverpool but just not consistent enough.

RB – Hector Bellerin (Arsenal):

Though Trent Alexandre Arnold has been exceptional, Bellerin has been consistent and should find a place in this side ahead of the teenager.

CB – Joel Matip (Liverpool):

The Cameroon international is easily one of the best in England at the moment and is an easy choice for this lineup.

CB – Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal):

The French international has missed the start of the campaign due to suspension but is back in action for this game against Liverpool to find a place in this side.

LB – Sead Kolasinac (Arsenal):

The newbie for Arsenal, Kolasinac has shown enough promise at the back to find a place in this side over Moreno and Robertson from Liverpool.

CM – Jordan Henderson (Liverpool):

Henderson has been in exceptional form and has easily been the best midfielder among both squads so far this season.

CM – Granit Xhaka (Arsenal):

Though Ramsey and Emre Can have been consistent and productive, Xhaka has been better despite his obvious mistakes in the middle of the park and should find a place in this side ahead of the German and the Welshman.

RW – Sadio Mane (Liverpool):

Arguably Liverpool’s best player at the moment, Mane has once again started the new season in fine goal scoring form and is an easy choice for this position.

CAM – Mesut Ozil (Arsenal):

The German playmaker has not been consistent recently but is one of the best players in both teams and will play as an attacking midfielder as opposed to, on the flank.

LW – Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal):

The Chilean winger wanted to quit Emirates this summer but is back in training at the moment and is expected to face Liverpool. So he will walk into this combined lineup for the tie.

ST – Roberto Firmino (Liverpool):

The Brazil international has started the season with a bang and has been a complete package in front of goal than Lacazette, who misses out on a place in this lineup.

This is how they could line up:
