According to reports, Leicester City are close to completing a £24m deal for Norwich City star James Maddison.

The 2015/16 Premier League champions, who finished ninth last term, have been active in the transfer market this summer having already signed Jonny Evans from West Brom and Ricardo Pereira from FC Porto.

Maddison, who scored 15 goals in all competitions for Norwich last season, will become Leicester’s third signing of the summer.

As Maddison’s arrival at the King Power Stadium is imminent, here’s how Leicester City could lineup fitting the 21-year-old midfield ace.

Leicester City lineup fitting in James Maddison

Manager: Claude Puel

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

One of the most underrated goalkeepers in the Premier League, Schmeichel is Leicester’s undisputed first choice in goal and he will keep his spot next season.

Ricardo Pereira (RB)

Pacey and powerful, Pereira is a straight upgrade to Danny Simpson at right-back. The Portuguese, who is an attacking full-back, is also capable of playing on the left side of the defence.

Jonny Evans

Jonny Evans (CB)

Evans has had a stellar rise in the last couple of years. He was one of the bright spots in an otherwise dismal campaign for West Brom as they suffered relegation this past season. The Northern Irishman is undeniably one of the smartest signings Leicester have done in their recent history.

Harry Maguire (CB)

Partnering Evans at the heart of Leicester’s defence will be Maguire, who enjoyed a really good season at the club last season. Maguire is currently in the England squad for the World Cup and is expected to come better next campaign.

Ben Chilwell (LB)

Chilwell enjoyed a breakthrough season at Leicester last term, impressing with his attacking displays on the left. He would be hoping to carry the momentum in the 2018/19 campaign.

Vicente Iborra

Wilfred Ndidi (CM)

Ndidi was one of the most consistent performers for the Foxes last campaign. Solid in the air and a strong tackler, the 21-year-old will be looking to make a serious impact next season.

Vicente Iborra (CM)

Iborra, who joined Leicester City from Sevilla last summer, turned out to be a great signing before a hamstring injury ruled him out of the season in April. He will be raring to help the Foxes challenge for a top-six finish next term.

Fousseni Diabate (RW)

Diabate showed glimpses of his talent last season. He is a pacey and tricky customer, who loves to take on defenders. The 2018/19 campaign will be a test for the 22-year-old attacker.

James Maddison (CAM)

One of the brightest talents in English football, Maddison would occupy the No.10 role behind the centre-forward. The 21-year-old is a technically gifted player with a touch of guile. He is creative, industrious and is a massive goal-threat.

Demarai Gray (RW)

Gray has a lot of potential but he is yet to live up to his billing at the King Power Stadium. However, Puel should give him another shot next season.

Jamie Vardy (ST)

Leicester’s constant outlet for goals, Vardy is an indispensable figure for Puel. Vardy will need to continue his goalscoring form if the club are to perform well next season.
