Predicted Chelsea line-up to face Burnley in the Premier League

Chelsea will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they meet strugglers Burnley at Turf Moor this Sunday. Maurizio Sarri’s men were very close to losing their unbeaten start at the hands of Manchester United last week, only for Ross Barkley to score a last-gasp equaliser to win a point.

The Blues are third in the table, two points behind leaders Manchester City and second-placed Liverpool. They would be aiming to get three points against Sean Dyche’s men and keep pace with the title contenders.

Team News

Eden Hazard is in doubt for this game. Ethan Ampadu is out for a few weeks. The manager has a tough couple of choices to make in the midfield though, after Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored a hat-trick in the Europa League to stake a claim for a place in the regular eleven.

Probable Chelsea XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Maurizio Sarri

Kepa (GK)

The Spaniard is slowly showing why Chelsea paid a world-record fee for him. The assurance while playing out from the back is imperious and he makes good saves too.

David Luiz

Cesar Azpilicueta (RB)

Was rested for the game against BATE on Thursday. Should be back for Sunday.

Antonio Rudiger (CB)

The German scored a very good header last weekend and is looking good alongside David Luiz in central defence.

David Luiz (CB)

Not many expected the Brazilian to make a comeback into the line-up and become a key member. He should start this game.

Marcos Alonso (LB)

Signed a new contract during the week, which should stir him up to perform better and show why he deserves to stay for long-term.

Jorginho

Jorginho (CDM)

The Italian knows the Sarri-ball to its depth and is proving it with his high-class performances week in week out. Expect more of the same on Sunday.

N’Golo Kante (RCM)

Kante was rested for the game on Thursday and should slot back into the line-up.

Ross Barkley (LCM)

The Englishman came off the bench and scored a last-minute equaliser to save the team. He should start this game despite stern competition from Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Willian

Willian (LW)

With Hazard expected to be out for this game, we may see Willian on the left wing.

Olivier Giroud (ST)

Alvaro Morata’s form leaves a lot to be desired. As a result, Giroud should get his chance to lead the line.

This could be Pedro’s chance to shine after an injury layoff.
