Predicted Rangers line-up to face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership

Rangers host Kilmarnock at the Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday.

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers will look to bounce back from the disappointment of getting knocked out of the League Cup at the hands of Aberdeen.

The Gers will be back to Premiership duty in the midweek against Kilmarnock, who come into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Hamilton.

Team News

Borna Barisic could again miss out and Graham Dorrans has suffered another injury setback.

But Alfredo Morelos should return from suspension and Kyle Lafferty would also be available for selection against Kilmarnock. Meanwhile, Jamie Murphy is ruled out for the season.

Probable Rangers XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Steven Gerrard

Allan McGregor (GK)

McGregor is the undisputed No.1 in goal and should start against Kilmarnock on Wednesday.

James Tavernier (RB)

Tavernier is an attacking right-back who loves to get forward and join the attacks.

Connor Goldson

Connor Goldson (CB)

A reliable presence at the back, Goldson is a solid defender and is one of the first names on the team sheet.

Joe Worrall (CB)

Worrall is good with the ball at his feet and generally likes to keep things simple. He should partner Goldson at the heart of the Rangers defence against Kilmarnock.

Jon Flanagan (LB)

Flanagan is an aggressive full-back and looks to bomb forward whenever presented with an opportunity.

Ryan Jack (CDM)

Jack is a tidy passer, protects the back-line well and allows the creative players to express themselves freely. He is a vital cog in the Rangers’ engine room.

Lassana Coulibaly (RCM)

Coulibaly adds a lot of strength and dynamism to the Rangers midfield. He is a certain starter on Wednesday.

Ovie Ejaria (LCM)

Ejaria has become a regular fixture for the Gers in the last month or so. He is set to keep his place in the team when Rangers face Kilmarnock.

Daniel Candeias (RW)

Candeias has been given enough chances to regain his mojo. Despite failing to do so, he could start on the right wing.

Ryan Kent (LW)

Kent has done very well for the Gers lately. He is a pacy player who loves to take on players and beat them. A certain starter for the midweek game.

Alfredo Morelos (ST)

Morelos would walk back straight into the starting XI after serving a one-game suspension. He is Rangers’ marksman, a player who is currently in a rich goal-scoring form.
