Everton vs Arsenal predictions: Arsenal FC line-up

Arsenal are on a brilliant run of form after impressive victories against Rennais, Manchester United and Newcastle United. Unai Emery’s side are peaking at the right time as they are in the driving seat for a 3rd-place finish. 

Arsenal now travel to Merseyside to take on an Everton who are high on confidence after impressive victories against Chelsea and West Ham over the last two weeks. Tottenham have regained the third spot in the table but the Gunners with their game in hand can leapfrog them again on Sunday.

Team News

Arsenal are quite fortunate on the injury front with Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny all expected to be fit for the game on Sunday.

Lucas Torreira is still suspended and long-term absentees Hector Bellerin, Danny Welbeck and Rob Holding are all ruled out for the foreseeable future.

Bernd Leno (GK)

The German has been in incredible form in recent weeks and has two clean sheets in the last two games. He should continue in goal against Everton on Sunday.

Shkodran Mustafi (CB)

Apart from a few shaky passes against Newcastle United on Monday night, Mustafi had a solid game at the back. He is expected to start on his return to Goodison Park.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos (CB) 

The Greek warrior has been outstanding since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund. His leadership at the back will be crucial to keep away an in-form Everton side. 

Nacho Monreal (CB)

The Spaniard has settled in well in his new position and his positioning when under attack has been commendable.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles (RB)

The youngster has cemented the right-back role for himself since the injury to Hector Bellerin and his performances have been incredibly impressive in recent weeks.

Granit Xhaka (CM)

The Swiss international missed the game against Newcastle due to an injury but is expected to return to the starting line-up against Everton on Sunday.

Matteo Guendouzi (CM)

The teenager had an outstanding game against Newcastle at the Emirates and deserves a start against the Toffees this weekend.

Sead Kolasinac (LWB)

The left wing-back role has befitted the Bosnian massively and his powerful bursts down the left wing has caused serious damage to the opposition this campaign.

Mesut Ozil (CAM)

The German had a brilliant game against Newcastle and has earned Unai Emery’s trust again. He should start in his preferred number 10 role on Sunday.

Alexandre Lacazette (ST)

The Frenchman scored Arsenal’s second against the Magpies and had a very good game overall. He should start again this weekend. 

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ST)

The former Dortmund man is Arsenal’s top goalscorer this season and provided a brilliant headed assist for Lacazette’s goal. His chemistry with the Frenchman up front has been outstanding and their presence will be hugely important for the Gunners on Sunday.
