Predicted Wolves line-up to face Manchester City in the Premier League

Wolverhampton Wanderers will lock horns with Premier League champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Monday in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves will be high in confidence after dumping Liverpool out of the FA Cup in the third round earlier this week. They will look to take the game to Manchester City, who were held to a 1-1 draw at Molineux earlier this season.

Pep Guardiola will expect Manchester City to put in an impressive performance and get three points at home after ending Liverpool’s unbeaten run in the league last weekend.

Team News

Wolverhampton Wanderers have no injury concerns ahead of the game.

Probable Wolves XI

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo

Rui Patricio (GK)

Patricio will walk back into the starting XI after sitting out the FA Cup clash against Liverpool.

Ryan Bennett (RCB)

Bennett will have to be extra vigilant and defend better against City’s nippy attackers on Monday.

Conor Coady

Conor Coady (CB)

Coady has to marshal his troops very well if Wolverhampton Wanderers are to return home all smiles.

Willy Boly (LCB)

Boly loves to venture forward with the ball and make intelligent passes. However, he’ll have to stay tight at the Etihad.

Matt Doherty (RWB)

Excellent going forward and defensively diligent as well, Doherty is a certain starter against City.

Jonny Castro (LWB)

A tireless performer, Castro will look to stretch the City defence this weekend.

Ruben Neves (CM)

Scored a peach of a goal against Liverpool to help Wolves advance to the FA Cup fourth round. Neves is expected to retain his place in the team.

Romain Saiss (CM)

Saiss is expert in doing the dirty job in the middle of the park. He breaks the opposition’s play, creates attacks from a deeper position and works vigorously off the ball.

Joao Moutinho (CAM)

Moutinho’s experience and creativity would be needed on Monday to split open City’s defence at the Etihad.

Diogo Jota (RS)

Jota is a creative player who’ll look to create problems for the City backline.
