Predicted Tottenham line-up to face Bournemouth in the Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns with Bournemouth on Boxing Day after demolishing Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.

The Lilywhites thumped Marco Silva’s Everton 6-2 to go third in the table, six points off league leaders, Liverpool. So Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side will be keen to pick up all three points on Wednesday in order to keep the five-point gap between themselves and London rivals – Chelsea and Arsenal.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, head into the game placed eighth in the league table.

Team News

Dele Alli was taken off at half-time at Everton after he felt a little bit tired. However, he should start this game. Moussa Sissoko sustained a knock at Goodison Park but he should recover in time.

Meanwhile, the likes of Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen remain out.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-1-2-1-2

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Lloris is Spurs’ undisputed first-choice in goal and should start against Bournemouth.

Kieran Trippier (RB)

A fantastic crosser of the ball, Tripper loves to get forward and put crosses inside the box for the forwards to feast upon.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Sanchez will have his task cut out against Callum Wilson and co. on Wednesday. He will have to be at the top of his game to keep Bournemouth at bay.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

A rock at the back, Alderweireld also has to stay focused throughout the game to stop Bournemouth from scoring.

Ben Davies (LB)

Davies could come up against Brooks, which will be a feisty encounter between the two Welshmen.

Harry Winks (CDM)

Winks could start in a deeper role in the midfield to protect the back four and also allow the flair players to express themselves freely.

Moussa Sissoko (RCM)

Sissoko is expected to shake off the knock and make himself counted for the game. The Frenchman has been a revelation this season under Pochettino and deserves to keep his place in the team.
