Predicted Watford line-up to face Everton in the Premier League

Watford did their best but were unable to come away with a point against league leaders Manchester City. The Cityzens won 2-1 at the Vicarage Road which saw Abdoulaye Doucoure score late in the second half. However, they didn’t have enough time to mount a comeback.

The Hornets will now turn their attention to the weekend clash against Everton as the games come thick and fast. Javi Gracia’s side have lost their momentum from early weeks but have still been impressive. They will now be aiming to pick up a win against the struggling Magpies.

Team News

Tom Cleverley and Daryl Janmaat are out for this game as well. Will Hughes picked up a slight knock against Manchester City and will most likely not be risked. Etienne Capoue is also still out, serving his suspension.

Probable Watford XI

Manager: Javi Gracia

Formation: 4-2-2-2

Ben Foster (GK)

Made some excellent saves against the Champions. He will surely keep his place between the sticks.

Ben Foster

Kiko Femenia (RB)

With Janmaat still out, Femenia will keep his place at right-back. He has looked lively going forward.

Adrien Mariappa (CB)

Mariappa will come into the side for Christian Kabasele. Mariappa has looked decent whenever called upon.

Craig Cathcart (CB)

Made a number of important interventions against City but it was all in vain. He should keep his place though.

Adam Masina (LB)

Masina will come into the side for Jose Holebas who probably needs a rest given his age. Would have a tough task against the Toffees.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (RCM)

He can seamlessly play every game and that is why Doucoure will start at central midfield in this game as well.

Nathaniel Chalobah (LCM)

Did well defensively but he needs to be more crisp with his passing moving forward.

Gerard Deulofeu (RAM)

With Hughes out for this game, the Spaniard should take his place on the right. He has caused all sorts of problems with his ability on the ball.

Roberto Pereyra (LAM)

The Argentine should keep his place in the squad but he needs to show more venom and consistency in his displays.

Roberto Pereyra

Andre Gray (ST)

Gray will start against the Toffees. His pace should cause all sorts of problems.

Isaac Success (ST)

Has done well after receiving a new contract. He should continue to lead the line alongside Andre Gray.
