Predicted Watford line-up to face Manchester City in the Premier League

Watford were beaten by Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend. The Hornets are slowly starting to lose their pace as the campaign takes a turn into the festive schedule. Javi Gracia’s side now come up against league leaders Manchester City at home this weekend.

The Cityzens are expected to swat aside the Hornets as they have done so often with every other club this season. Gracia needs to be wary of a number of potent threats that can end the game quickly for Watford.

Team News

Etienne Capoue is unavailable for this game due to suspension. Daryl Janmaat and Tom Cleverley are still out injured. Gracia is expected to make a few changes as well.

Probable Watford XI

Manager: Javi Gracia

Formation: 4-2-2-2

Ben Foster (GK)

Foster has been very good for the Hornets this season and will definitely keep his place between the sticks.

Ben Foster

Kiko Femenia (RB)

Femenia has been a massive influence down the right flank for the Hornets after coming in for Daryl Janmaat.

Christian Kabasele (CB)

Kabasele will come into the side in place of Adrien Mariappa for this game. He has been a good partner for Cathcart in the early weeks.

Craig Cathcart (CB)

Needs to find his form once again if Watford are to keep it tight at the back. He will surely keep his place.

Jose Holebas (LB)

His set-pieces have to be on point against the Cityzens. He could play a huge role in this game.

Jose Holebas

Abdoulaye Doucoure (RCM)

Can easily play every game for the Hornets this season without any sort of fatigue. He will surely play in right central midfield in this game.

Nathaniel Chalobah (LCM)

Chalobah should come in for the suspended Etienne Capoue. He may not be very good going forward but his defensive presence is fruitful.

Will Hughes (RAM)

Hughes has lost his form in the last few weeks and needs to pick up if the Hornets are to win a few games.

Roberto Pereyra (LAM)

The Argentine too needs to be more consistent in front of the goal. He needs to take his chances more often.

Gerard Deulofeu (ST)

Deulofeu has caused all sorts of problems with his dribbling and running. He would be a crucial attacking presence for Watford against Man City.

Andre Gray (ST)

Gray will come into the side to partner Deulofeu in this game. If he runs riot, City are going to have a lot of problems to deal with.
