Predicted Celtic line-up to face Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership

Reigning champions Celtic will look to get back to winning ways against Hamilton after dropping points against Livingston last time out.

The Hoops will be forced to play on AstroTurf for the second game in a row. Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic are on top of the table and will look to avoid any more slip-ups.

Martin Canning’s Hamilton, meanwhile, will be hoping to spring a shock at the weekend.

Team News

Eboue Kouassi and Daniel Arzani are both out for the season after suffering Anterior Cruciate Ligament tear.

Leigh Griffiths and Nir Bitton are slowly working their way towards full fitness and won’t be available for the weekend game. But Kieran Tierney could shake up his injury to face Hamilton after missing Scotland’s game with Albania.

Probable Celtic XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Craig Gordon (GK)

Gordon had missed the game before the international break due to a knee injury. However, he has now recovered and will start between the sticks at the weekend.

Mikael Lustig (RB)

Lustig has not been at his best this season, yet, Rodgers has kept faith in him. He is a certain starter at right-back.

Dedryck Boyata (CB)

Celtic’s best defender, Boyata brings a lot of calmness to the backline. Strong in the air and powerful in the tackle, the Belgian will have to be at his best if Celtic are to win on Saturday.

Filip Benkovic (CB)

Benkovic has become a fan favourite with his impressive displays at the heart of the Bhoys defence. He is expected to start against Hamilton.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

Tierney is an aggressive, attack-minded full-back who loves to get forward and contribute to the attacks as much as he can.

Callum McGregor (CM)

McGregor has performed very well in central midfield in the absence of Olivier Ntcham, Scott Brown and Eboue Kouassi. He should retain his place in the line-up.

Callum McGregor

Youssouf Mulumbu (CM)

Mulumbu is a tenacious midfielder who is not only adept at breaking opposition’s play but also offers creativity.

James Forrest (RW)

Forrest brings a lot of pace and liveliness to the Celtic attack. He will look to give the Hamilton defenders a tough time at the weekend.

Ryan Christie (CAM)

Christie has been very impressive lately in green and white. Going by his form, he simply cannot be dropped.

Scott Sinclair (LW)

Sinclair is slowly getting back his mojo after being handed a string of starts by Rodgers. He still needs to work drastically on his end product.

Odsonne Edouard (ST)

Edouard has nailed down his place in the team. He is the Hoops’ main source of goals and the young Frenchman will look to get on the scoresheet at the weekend.
