Everton vs Liverpool Predictions: Everton line-up

After a 3-0 thumping of Cardiff on Tuesday, Everton host neighbours Liverpool in the Merseyside derby on Sunday. The Toffees will look to spoil the party for Liverpool who look to keep the pressure on chasers Manchester City.

Team news

Marco Silva has been quite fortunate on the injury front recently, with just Leighton Baines ruled out for the derby on Sunday. Kurt Zouma will return to the squad after serving his suspension against Cardiff on Tuesday.

Probable Everton XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Marco Silva

Jordan Pickford (GK)

The 24-year-old has kept 7 clean sheets this season so far and is Everton’s undisputed number one. He is expected to continue in goal against Liverpool on Sunday.

Jonjo Kenny (RB)

The 21-year-old has played 9 games so far in the Premier League and should be preferred over Seamus Coleman on Sunday. Kenny will have to produce his best performance to stop Sadio Mane on the wing.

Michael Keane (CB)

The former Burnley man has missed just 3 games all season and is Marco Silva’s first choice at Everton. He is expected to start on the right-hand side on Sunday.

Kurt Zouma (CB)

The Frenchman is expected to return to the starting eleven after serving his one-match ban on Tuesday. Zouma should start in place of veteran Phil Jagielka in the Derby on Sunday.

Lucas Digne (LB)

The former Barcelona man has adapted brilliantly to the Premier League since his arrival in the summer. He will be given the tough task of facing Mo Salah on Sunday.

Morgan Schneiderlin (CDM)

The Frenchman played the full 90 minutes against Cardiff on Tuesday and should start again in the derby on Sunday.

Idrissa Gueye (CM)

The 29-year-old has become an integral part of everton over the last two years and is expected to start next to Schneiderlin in central midfield on Sunday.

Theo Walcott (RW)

The Englishman has played 27 games this season but has been poor for the Toffees. He has scored just 3 goals this campaign, something he should look to improve quickly.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (CAM)

The 29-year-old has arguably been Everton’s best player this season, having scored 11 goals in the league so far. He will have to be at his best if Everton are to get anything out of the game at the weekend.

Richarlison (LW)

Everton’s record signing started off brilliantly for the Toffees but has been quiet over the last few games. Everton will be hoping that he fires again soon.

The 21-year-old repaid his manager’s faith with a goal in the game against Cardiff on Tuesday. The Englishman has scored 5 goals so far this term and will look to add to it against Liverpool on Sunday.
