Predicted Fulham line-up to face Chelsea in the league

After making a winning start to their life under Claudio Ranieri, Fulham would be aiming to continue the positivity when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Sunday in the Premier League. The Cottagers got the better of fellow strugglers Southampton at Craven Cottage last week, but the defensive concerns are still there.

They are up against a Chelsea side who lost their previous game to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Hence, Fulham should know that the Blues will be up for it this weekend in order to get back to winning ways.

Team News

Kevin McDonald and Andre Anguissa are out long-term. Apart from that, Ranieri has a wide enough squad to pick his lineup from.

Probable Fulham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Claudio Ranieri

Sergio Rico (GK)

Since making the start, Rico has been good in goal. His saves made the difference against Southampton.

Cyrus Christie

Cyrus Christie (RB)

Christie is good going forward but he needs to improve defensively as a full-back. Ranieri will have an eye on that.

Denis Odoi (CB)

He has been one of the better defenders in the Fulham line-up this season. Expect him start most games under the new manager.

Alfie Mawson (CB)

The quality of Mawson would be vital in how the Cottagers defend and try to keep clean sheets in the upcoming games.

Maxime Le Marchand (LB)

He is good going forward as a full-back, however, the susceptibility at the back needs to be rectified sooner than later.

Calum Chambers (CM)

The loanee from Arsenal is doing well in central midfield, shielding the back-line and acting as a third centre-back when required.

Jean Michael Seri (CM)

Seri’s performance in central midfield will be key to how Fulham play in the coming games.

Tom Cairney

Tom Cairney (CAM)

The captain looks a better player as a number 10 behind the striker. He can be more influential playing in that position.

Ryan Sessegnon (LW)

The youngster was superb in the wide attacking areas against Southampton. Fulham fans would be hoping for more against tough opponents this Sunday.

Andre Schurrle (RW)

The German scored the goal last weekend and looked a real threat to the defenders. He should be back at Stamford Bridge this Sunday with a hope to prove a point.

Aleksandar Mitrovic

Aleksandar Mitrovic (ST)

The Serbian regained his scoring touch by netting two against the Saints. The Chelsea centre-backs will have to be at their best to deal with him.
