Predicted Norwich line-up to face Nottingham Forest in the Championship

Norwich City will entertain Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road on Boxing Day as they look to go top of the Championship table.

The Canaries, unbeaten in eight games, cemented their place in the table with a 1-0 victory at Blackburn Rovers, with striker Teemu Pukki scoring late on to settle what was an even contest.

Daniel Farke’s Norwich City are in excellent form but fellow promotion rivals Nottingham Forest would come to Carrow Road and look to pick up a positive result on Wednesday.

Team News

Timm Klose remains a doubt due to a knee injury but Norwich could be without Emi Buendia and Moritz Leitner due to a dead leg and an ankle problem respectively.

Probable Norwich City XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Daniel Farke

Tim Krul (GK)

A reliable presence between the sticks, Krul is set to retain his place in the team.

Max Aarons (RB)

Aarons has established himself as a trustworthy attacking outlet down the right flank. He must keep his place in the team.

Christoph Zimmermann (CB)

Zimmermann is a rock-solid defender who will look to keep the Nottingham Forest attackers at bay.

Ben Godfrey (CB)

With Klose out with a knee injury, Godfrey should continue partnering Zimmermann in central defence.

Jamal Lewis (LB)

Lewis loves to move forward and contribute to the Norwich City attacks as much as he can.

Alex Tettey (CM)

Tettey breaks the opposition’s play, recycles possession and keeps Norwich ticking.

Mario Vrancic (CM)

Vrancic could start in a deeper role, alongside Tettey. He has the ability to pick out a pass and Farke would expect the Bosnian to deliver the goods.

Onel Hernandez (RW)

With Buendia set to miss out, Hernandez could be his natural replacement.

Marco Stiepermann (CAM)

Stiepermann is ideal for the No.10 role. He is a creative player who can pick out passes from the deep and stitch the play between the midfield and the attack.

Todd Cantwell (LW)

On the left, Cantwell will retain his place in the team and look to influence the proceedings in the final third.

Teemu Pukki (ST)

Won it for Norwich City with a late goal at Blackburn, Pukki will look to continue his good goalscoring form.
