[Image] Predicted 4-2-3-1 Tottenham XI vs Red Star Belgrade: Can Poch’s men get back on track?

Tottenham vs Red Star Belgrade prediction: Tottenham line-up

Tottenham will attempt to get themselves back on track when they host Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The north Londoners laboured to a 1-1 draw against Watford at the weekend and have now won just three of their 12 games across all competitions so far.

They threw away a two-goal lead to draw with Olympiacos on matchday one before capitulating in a 7-2 home humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich last time out.

The pressure is beginning to grow on both the team and Mauricio Pochettino and the Argentinean tactician will be desperate for a win against Red Star Belgrade.

Team News

Hugo Lloris is a long-term casualty for Tottenham, who’ll also be without Giovani Lo Celso (hip) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) through injury.

Christian Eriksen, who sat out Saturday’s draw with Watford with a dead leg, is expected to be fit.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Paulo Gazzaniga (GK)

Gazzaniga will be desperate to keep a clean sheet in the upcoming game against Red Star Belgrade.

Serge Aurier (RB)

Aurier was really sloppy at the back against Watford. However, the Ivorian is likely to keep his place at right-back.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Alderweireld has been shaky this season, leading to Spurs conceding a lot of goals. He’ll need to keep things tight if Tottenham are to win on Tuesday.

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

Vertonghen has had a poor start to the new season, looking off the pace. Nevertheless, the Belgian should start ahead of Sanchez in central defence.

Ben Davies (LB)

Rose wasn’t at his best against Watford in the Premier League, so Pochettino could go with Ben Davies on Tuesday.

Moussa Sissoko (CM)

The one Tottenham player who has been a positive this season, Sissoko should start against Red Star Belgrade.

Harry Winks (CM)

Partnering Sissoko in midfield would be Winks, who has blown hot and cold so far this campaign.

Erik Lamela (RW)

Lamela is a tenacious player with good dribbling skills and pace. He could start on the right flank.

Dele Alli (CAM)

Alli has been very poor for Spurs for some time now but the goal against Watford would have given him a lot of confidence. He is likely to start in the no.10 role.

Son Heung-min

Son Heung-min (LW)

Son is one of the best forwards in the Premier League and could give a torrid time for the Red Star Belgrade defenders on Tuesday.

Harry Kane (ST)

If Spurs are to get their first Champions League victory this season, they’re going to need a big performance from captain and talisman, Harry Kane.
