West Brom v Barnsley Prediction – West Brom line-up

Championship leaders West Brom will hope to keep their great start to the season going when they face bottom side Barnsley at the Hawthorns tomorrow night.

The Baggies got a vital away win at Middlesbrough in the weekend, that further cemented their ambitions of not only looking to remain in contention for promotion, but also fight for the title.

On Tuesday, they will be up against a Barnsley side that have won just once in 12 games so far and sit at the foot of the ball, four points away from safety.

Team News

Matt Phillips is a doubt for this game, but will be fit for the weekend. Other than that, Bilic has a fit squad to select his XI from.

Predicted West Brom XI

Formation – 4-2-3-1

Manager – Slaven Bilic

Sam Johnstone (GK)

Johnstone is West Brom’s undisputed number one keeper and would be the same on Tuesday.

Darnell Furlong (CB)

Furlong has done well since being switched to right-back. He is expected to keep his place for this game.

Semi Ajayi (CB)

Ajayi has done well in central defence. Bilic would keep him in the team for this game.

Ahmed Hegazi (CB)

The Egypt international came off the bench to complete his fitness. He should be back in the XI for tomorrow’s game.

Nathan Ferguson (LB)

The youngster has had a fantastic season so far. There are not many doubts regarding his position in the team now.

Jake Livermore (CM)

The Englishman has been controlling the midfield well so far. He would aim to do the same on Tuesday.

Romaine Sawyers (CM)

The summer signing has been industrious in the middle of the park. He should partner Livermore against Barnsley.

Matheus Pereira (RW)

With Phillips still a doubt for this game, Pereira would keep his place on the right wing.

Filip Krovinovic (CAM)

The on-loan Benfica man is expected to start as an attacking midfielder and look to tie things up near the final third.

Grady Diangana (LW)

On loan from West Ham, Diangana is one of the regular starters in this team. With four goals and three assists so far, he deserves to start every game as well.

Charlie Austin (ST)

Even though it was Hal Robson-Kanu who scored the winner over the weekend, Austin is certain to keep his place as a striker in this team.
