Predicted Rangers line-up to face Dundee in the Scottish Premiership

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers travel to Dundee looking to bounce back from their disappointing home defeat to Aberdeen.

The Gers slipped to the second spot following the loss against Aberdeen coupled with Kilmarnock’s win 2-0 victory over Livingston.

Despite the defeat, Rangers have been in a good run of form of late. But they could face a tricky test against Dundee, who head into the clash after battering Hamilton 4-0.

Team News

Alfredo Morelos will miss the Dundee clash after receiving a second yellow card in the 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen. Scott Arfield will also miss out as he serves his final game suspension.

Ryan Kent might not feature due to a hamstring problem, while Graham Dorrans is a long-term absentee.

Meanwhile, Jamie Murphy is ruled out for the season with a knee ligament damage.

Probable Rangers XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Steven Gerrard

Allan McGregor (GK)

McGregor is arguably Scottish Premiership’s best goalkeeper. He is a certain starter for the weekend game.

James Tavernier (RB)

The skipper has to step up and help Rangers bounce back following a disappointing defeat against Aberdeen.

Gareth McAuley (CB)

McAuley has brought calmness to the Rangers backline. He should start alongside Goldson against Dundee.

Connor Goldson (CB)

Goldson has established himself as a permanent fixture in the team under Gerrard this season. He should start at the weekend.

Jon Flanagan (LB)

Flanagan could get the nod ahead of Barisic and Halliday at left-back.

Ryan Jack (CDM)

Jack protects the backline and offers the Gers attackers the freedom to express themselves.

Lassana Coulibaly (RCM)

Coulibaly brings a lot of pace and power to the midfield. He has gone missing of late and needs to regain his form as quickly as possible.

Ovie Ejaria (LCM)

Ejaria is the creative spark of the Rangers team. He is a certain starter for Sunday’s game.

Daniel Candeias (RW)

Candeias is a very good crosser of the ball and gives Rangers a different flavour in the attack.

Glenn Middleton (LW)

A pacy customer, Middleton can give Dundee defenders a torrid time at the weekend. He is a certain starter for Sunday’s game.
