Predicted Bournemouth line-up to face Liverpool in the Premier League

Bournemouth will face a tough test against Liverpool when they’ll host Jurgen Klopp’s men at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

The Cherries ended a run of four consecutive defeats with a 2-1 win over Huddersfield on Tuesday. The win against Huddersfield will give Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth a lot of confidence ahead of the highly exciting clash with Liverpool.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will come into the weekend two points adrift of the leaders Manchester City having won 3-1 at Burnley on Wednesday.

Team News

Lewis Cook has been ruled out for the season after rupturing Anterior Cruciate Ligament against Huddersfield Town.

Dan Gosling will face a late fitness test after receiving a scan on the knee injury he picked up in the warm-up against Manchester City, while Adam Smith is out until the New Year.

Probable Bournemouth XI

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Eddie Howe

Asmir Begovic (GK)

Begovic was outstanding in the win over Huddersfield. He should keep his place between the sticks on Saturday.

Asmir Begovic

Simon Francis (RB)

The skipper could come up against the nippy Mane at the weekend. He’ll have to be at the top of his game to keep the Senegalese at bay.

Steve Cook (CB)

Cook has been a permanent fixture in the Bournemouth team. He should start against the Reds.

Nathan Ake (CB)

Ake is a ball-playing defender who is adept at building attacks from the back. The Dutchman will have his task cut out against Liverpool’s speedy attackers.

Charlie Daniels (LB)

Daniels could come up against the zippy Salah on Saturday. He will have to be extremely composed and disciplined to keep the Egyptian quiet.

Andrew Surman (CM)

With Cook ruled out for the season, Surman would be his natural replacement for Bournemouth due to his ability to play defence-splitting passes from the middle of the park.

Jefferson Lerma (CM)

Strong in the air and powerful in the tackle, Lerma is an aggressive midfielder who will look to stop Liverpool over the weekend.

Ryan Fraser (LM)

Fraser has been excellent this season that makes him a certain starter for the weekend fixture.

David Brooks (RM)

Brooks should start on the right on the attack. He has the tendency to drift inside on to his left foot and go for goal from long range.

Joshua King would be a good signing for Newcastle

Joshua King (RS)

King’s link-up play and understanding with Wilson is excellent, which could give the Liverpool defence a tough time on Saturday afternoon.

Callum Wilson (LS)

Wilson is Bournemouth’s chief source of goals. He will be looking to add to his tally when the Cherries host Liverpool.
