Predicted Leicester City line-up to face Tottenham in the Premier League

Leicester City take on third-placed Tottenham and the Foxes are in trouble, having struggled recently in the Premier League and even in the FA Cup.

They’ve only managed to win three games out of their last ten in all competitions, with losses to Newport County, Manchester United, Southampton, Wolves and Liverpool. Things are not looking good and to make things worse, their chance of a seventh-place finish is slipping away.

Tottenham, on the other hand, have done relatively well, winning six out of their last ten games but have lost to Crystal Palace and Chelsea in the EFL Cup and the FA Cup respectively. However, their Premier League record is comparatively better and with Mauricio Pochettino eyeing a Premier League title, the clash against Leicester City is the perfect time to gain some ground.

Team News

Daniel Amartey and Marc Albrighton are still out with injuries, but new signing Youri Tielemans could finally make his debut. The 21-year-old was registered late and couldn’t make an appearance against Manchester United. But the Mirror has reported that he could start on Saturday.

Probable Leicester City XI

Formation: 5-2-1-2

Manager: Claude Puel

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

The Dane has played every single Premier League game this season, and there is no reason why he shouldn’t continue to do that.

Ben Chilwell (LWB)

He’s shot up on the list of the most wanted, which is why the 22-year-old is a sure starter against Tottenham.

Harry Maguire (CB)

Another player who’s been a crucial part of Leicester City’s success since his arrival, the defensive colossus is easily among the Foxes’ best players.

Wes Morgan (CB)

While he’s only played 17 games this season, Morgan still remains a key part of this Leicester City side and the Foxes will need all his experience against Tottenham.

Jonny Evans (CB)

A key start for West Brom last season, Evans has had his injury issues this season but has still managed to play a big role for Leicester City and like Morgan, the Foxes will need the 31-year-old’s experience.

Ricardo Pereira (RWB)

A revelation at right-back/wing-back, the 25-year-old arrived from FC Porto and has made himself at home in the King Power Stadium. Expect him to continue performing for Leicester City.

Wilfried Ndidi (CDM)

The Nigerian international too has played every single game for Leicester City this season, and missed just five games last season. He has made himself an irreplaceable part of the Foxes’ starting team.

Nampalys Mendy (CDM)

Unlike Ndidi, the 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact but somehow in recent months, he has become his own self. He should partner Ndidi in the middle of the park.

James Maddison (CAM)

James Maddison has desroyed the doubters this season by performing immensely well for Leicester this season so far. The Foxes will need him at his very best against Tottenham.

Jamie Vardy (RS)

There really isn’t another Jamie Vardy in this world, which is why he is picked ahead of Kelechi Iheanacho. But the 32-year-old needs to find his goal-scoring touch once again.

Demarai Gray (LS)

This is supposed to be Demarai Gray’s season and yet, he’s struggled. But a good performance against Tottenham should cement his place in this Leicester City team.
