Dream Real Madrid Dream XI featuring Eden Hazard

According to reports, European champions Real Madrid are preparing a stunning a £150million transfer offer for Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard as they attempt to replace Cristiano Ronaldo after his move to Juventus was confirmed this week.

Real Madrid appear to have identified Hazard as the primary candidate to replace the Portuguese superstar, who has left Santiago Bernabeu after nine trophy-laden years.

Having dazzled in Russia as one of the players of the tournament, Hazard, the Belgium skipper, will be in high demand.

Chelsea are keen to keep hold of Hazard, who has two years remaining on his current contract. The Belgian has been reluctant to commit his future to Stamford Bridge due to the instability at the club.

Should Real succeed in luring Hazard away to the Bernabeu, here is how they could line up in the upcoming season.

Dream Real Madrid XI

Manager: Julen Lopetegui

Formation: 4-3-3

Thibaut Courtois (GK)

Real Madrid are reportedly in ‘constant touch’ with Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois about a summer switch to the Bernabeu. The Belgian is out of contract next summer and Chelsea could cash in on him this summer rather lose him for free in 2019.

Alvaro Odriozola (RB)

Odriozola broke into Real Sociedad’s senior side in the 2016/17 campaign but impressed last season, making 35 league appearances and scoring a goal. After his dazzling displays at right-back, Madrid snapped him up earlier this summer.

Raphael Varane (CB)

Varane has been top class in the ongoing World Cup, helping France reach the finals with his heroic defending against the Belgians.

Sergio Ramos (CB)

The Real Madrid skipper is considered as one of the best defenders and is set to keep his place in Lopetegui’s team next season.

Marcelo (LB)

One of the finest full-backs in the world, Marcelo will be a sure starter next season.

Casemiro (CDM)

Casemiro is a crucial figure in the Madrid team. He breaks opposition’s play, recovers possession and keeps his team ticking in all departments.

Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos (RCM)

The axle in the Madrid team, Toni Kroos possesses exceptional passing and crossing skills and also pops up with the odd goal.

Luka Modric (LCM)

Real Madrid’s midfield maestro, Modric has been one of the chief reasons for Croatia reaching the World Cup final. Modric’s influence might have diminished but his class remains unrivalled.

Gareth Bale (RW)

Bale’s Madrid career has been hampered due to recurrent injury problems but when fully fit, he is a treat to watch.

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard (LW)

One of the most gifted players in the world, Hazard is an all-round attacker with lovely ball retention and exquisite technique. He has been a consistent player for Chelsea ever since he joined the club and Real will have a gem in their ranks if they manage to sign the Belgian.

Rodrigo (ST)

Napoli are interested in Karim Benzema and if he departs, Lopetegui should sign Rodrigo Moreno from Valencia. Rodrigo completed his first decent season in the Spanish La Liga this past season, scoring 16 goals in 37 matches for Valencia.
