Aston Villa Opinion: Why Aston Villa should make a move for Quentin Beunardeau
Birmingham Mail has reported that Aston Villa
They are doing relatively well in the Championship this season which is simply incredible, given their situation 10 games into the season.
Thanks in part to Tammy Abraham’s clinical nature in front of the goal and Dean Smith’s tactics, the Lions somehow have managed to turn the club around. They are currently on a five-game unbeaten streak, surging into a promotion playoff.
However, that is not something that Dean Smith can sustain, given the depth of his squad and more importantly, the lack of good goalkeepers. Orjan Nyland has been the only reliable man between the sticks for the club and even the 28-year-old has struggled to make an impact. He has only six clean sheets this season.
While Villa
That’s exactly why they need to make a move for La Nos star Quentin Beunardeau, as he undoubtedly is a better goalkeeper. In the second half of the season, the 25-year-old has played every single game for CD Leganes.
Showing his class in key victories, the player maintained clean sheets against Tondela, Boavista and a few other clubs. He isn’t the tallest goalkeeper around but Beunardeau more than makes up for it with his reflexes and agility.
That combined with his shot-stopping ability and confidence with the ball at his feet is why he would suit Dean Smith’s tactics perfectly. Neither Lovre Kalinic nor Jed Steer has done well with the ball at their feet.

Conclusion
Aston Villa need a new goalkeeper to help them move forward and adding someone as talented as Quentin Beunardeau will certainly help the club. They are aiming for a promotion into the Premier League and their current crop of goalkeepers won’t help them move forward.
