Match Report: Bristol City 0-1 Preston North End
Bristol City were beaten 1-0 by Preston as they failed to make their chances count. Callum Robinson’s first-half goal downed Lee Johnson’s men. Some really poor and sloppy defending from Bristol City saw Daniel Johnson burst into the box and tee up Robinson for the finish.
City were booed off the pitch by their own fans as they continued their downward spiral. They were lacklustre on the ball and failed to get their passes right in the first half. Two blunders by Adam Webster almost cost City more goals.
He gave away possession cheaply, which saw Maguire’s shot get saved by the returning Niki Maenpaa, who then had to react smartly to smother an effort from Tom Barkhuizen following an under-hit back-pass.
Liam Walsh took the first shot for City in the early stages but it was too tame and harmlessly travelled wide. City barely managed to threaten Preston’s backline as their defenders bullied Lee Johnson’s men.
Preston North End were organized and systematic in their approach. Lee Johnson made three changes on the night but none was able to make a significant impact. It was a proper performance and a win by the away side but for Lee Johnson’s men, they definitely have take a reality check after being jeered off by their own fans.
Here’s how some Bristol City fans reacted to what is surely one of the poorest home displays this season.
Lack of discipline, organisation, poor player performances. Lucky we were playing a shit team otherwise we would have lost by more.

How many more disappointing afternoons are we going to have before our board show some balls and sack our clueless manager who is so far out of his depth that this has now become embarrassing??? This league is there for the taking…make a change now!! Oh and #DropPackFFS

Preston don’t come to do a lot of attacking and yet they’ve still came here and done more than us. Something needs to change, be it the fact we were way too optimistic this season or be it the manager

Excuses incoming;
We are young team, still gelling, young manager, big injury list, playing bogey side, need 4-5 T/windows to build managers team etc.
The players are not the problem; it’s Johnson.
Tactically he was found out at the end of 2017 and now cannot cope at this level.— Carlin (@thedaddy4737) November 10, 2018

Why do we always lose to Preston?
