Jurgen Klopp to make 7 changes – Strongest 4-3-3 Liverpool XI to face Chelsea in the Premier League

Predicted Liverpool line-up to face Chelsea in the Premier League

Liverpool’s perfect start to the season came to an end after Chelsea won 2-1 at Anfield in the League Cup. The Reds have now lost just one game at home since August last season and it proved to be an end-to-end clash.

Jurgen Klopp’s men return to face a double-header against Chelsea this weekend as the Reds travel to Stamford Bridge. Both teams are unbeaten in the league, with Liverpool winning all of their games so far. It will be another enticing and mouthwatering clash which could turn out to be the game of the season.

Team News

Klopp has been boosted by the return of Dejan Lovren, who made his first start of the season. Virgil Van Dijk was handed a week’s rest after a slight rib aggravation but the Dutchman is a doubt for this game.

Jurgen Klopp has no new injury concerns to worry about, with long-term absentees working well in recovery.

Probable Liverpool XI

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Formation: 4-3-3

Alisson Becker (GK)

Alisson should start in goal. He’s been a terrific signing for Liverpool and he has certainly solved a huge problem for Jurgen Klopp.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

Arnold’s energy was missed in the midweek clash against the Blues and he should return for this one.

Dejan Lovren (CB)

Lovren should start this game as Van Dijk is a doubt. It is going to be a difficult outing for him against Hazard and co.

Joe Gomez (CB)

Gomez was handed a well-deserved rest as well and should return to partner Lovren at the back.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

The Scot was sorely missed as Moreno endured another horror showing on the left flank. Robertson’s would give the Liverpool faithful a huge relief.

Andrew Robertson

James Milner (RCM)

Milner didn’t give it his all against Chelsea in midweek but he should come good for them in this game.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

The Dutchman’s relentless running and ball retention were missed against the Blues. He should return for this game.

Jordan Henderson (LCM)

Henderson was also a second-half substitute against Chelsea in midweek and the captain will return for this one.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

The Egyptian would love to get another one against his former employers. Salah needs to be more clinical in the final third.

Mohamed Salah

Roberto Firmino (ST)

Firmino’s doggedness was missed against the Blues in midweek. He will lead the line for this one.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane was the only member of the famed front three to start in midweek and he will continue on the left flank.
