Juventus Trying To Steal €20 Million Manchester United Target

Manchester United’s defensive target Mats Hummels is the latest on Juventus radar. The Italian media has reported that Juventus are preparing a bid for the 23-year old defender who is under contract with Dortmund until the end of 2017 season. And after the player admitted that there are only four clubs in Europe that he would consider moving the Italian giants could be one of them.

“To play in a new country would be flattering,” admitted Hummels. “I’ve had offers before from abroad and I have to admit that one of them was very interesting. But the timing was not right for me. When you are at a club like Dortmund you just don’t move to any club and there are only four clubs in Europe I would consider.”

The defender has been got quite a few admirers to his name from the back of an impressive start to the campaign this year. And it was also reported that Manchester United’s scouts were present to monitor Hummels when he represented Germany during their friendlies earlier this month and United were ready to make a bid that will match Dortmund’s valuation of  €20 – 25 million for the player.

Although Juventus have a strong defensive trio in the form of Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini, and Leonardo Bonucci they are keen in signing the German youngster. Over the last few seasons Hummels has developed considerably, and has become an important figure in the back for Dortmund.  So far this term he has appeared in all league matches, scoring one goal in the process.
