Klopp To Make 3 Changes – Strongest 4-3-3 Liverpool Line-up To Face Leicester City

Predicted Liverpool Line-up To Face Leicester City In The Premier League

After yet another thrashing that they handed to Swansea City, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are slowly making a claim for a place in the top-3 of the points table, and are now just 5 points off Manchester United. They will look to move closer when they welcome Leicester City to Anfield this weekend.

Claude Puel’s men have risen to 8th place in the points table, but are healing from a loss vs Watford on the Boxing Day. The Foxes have a decent record against Klopp and will look to take at least a point from this game but Liverpool have been in decent form, and are unbeaten in their last 13 games across all competitions. They are unbeaten at home and have conceded just 3 goals all season, which makes it even tougher for the visitors.

Team News

The Reds are still without the likes of Nathaniel Clyne, Alberto Moreno and Jordan Henderson, who are all out for the next two games at least. Daniel Sturridge remains the only other injury problem in the first-team for Klopp, ahead of this clash. With the game against Burnley just a day later, Klopp might rest a couple of his key players.

Probable Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

GK – Simon Mignolet

The blunder at the Emirates did not cost the Belgian his spot in the first-team against Swansea. So he is expected to keep his place in the side.

RB – Joe Gomez

The superlative display from Trent Alexander-Arnold may not be enough for the youngster to keep his place in the side and should be replaced by Joe Gomez at right-back.

CB – Joel Matip

After a solid display against Swansea, Matip, the first choice CB for Klopp, should keep his place in the side this weekend.

Andrew Robertson

CB – Ragnar Klavan

Klavan has probably been Liverpool’s best defender this season and deserves to start alongside Matip for the second consecutive game. But he might have a tough time against the likes of Jamie Vardy.

LB – Andrew Robertson

Having cemented a place in the first team in the absence of Moreno, Robertson, who came off for the last 20 minutes against Swansea, is expected to start at left-back.

CDM – Emre Can

With Henderson out injured, Klopp has no choice but to use Emre Can as the deepest of the midfielders against the Foxes.

CM – Adam Lallana

The English international is back to full fitness but has been confined to a bench role. However, with a trip to Turf Moor not too far away, he might get his chance to start, thanks to Klopp’s rotation policy.

CM – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Having picked up his first Anfield goal, the Ox is in productive form at the moment and could play as a part of the midfield three, giving Philippe Coutinho a much-deserved rest.

Mohamed Salah

RW – Mohamed Salah

The Egyptian drew blanks against Swansea but will yet again be the danger man this weekend.

LW – Sadio Mane

An unused substitute on Boxing Day, Mane should be fresh and raring to take on the Foxes, as he also has a point to prove, having lost some form recently.

ST – Roberto Firmino

Easily Liverpool’s most in-form attacker, Firmino is racking up the goals by the week and could add to his tally in front of the home crowd on Saturday.

Here is how the Reds might line up:
