Leeds United News: According to Birmingham Mail, Jake Hastie of Motherwell has spoken about his future amidst interest from various clubs.
The Scottish midfielder has drawn attention over the last few days with clubs like West Bromwich Albion and Leeds United scouting the wonder kid.
Now, the teenager has opened about his future as his contract is nearing its end ( h/t Birmingham Mail):
“I don’t want to go anywhere. I want to stay here, keep my feet on the ground and keep progressing.
“I’ve been lucky to come in straight away. Hopefully, I can keep doing what I’m doing”, he said thereby putting an end to all the transfer speculations.
Making a name at Motherwell
Hastie, who has come through the youth ranks of Motherwell, spent his loan spell at Airdrieonians and Alloa Athletic.
Hastie is often deployed as an attacking midfielder and can also operate as a winger.
Returning to the parent club this season, it didn’t take too long for the Scottish midfielder to make his mark. He has already scored four goals and provided an assist in just four games this season.
Above all, the performances he put in have been outstanding. And the latest goal came against Hearts last night which led Motherwell to a 2-1 win.
And they are set to face Celtic in their next game.
