Leeds United News: Marcelo Bielsa has explained the reason behind Leeds United’s defeat against Queens Park Rangers.

Leeds travelled to East London for their clash against QPR. The Whites suffered their second defeat of the month after notching back to back wins.

Luke Freeman’s second-half goal helped the hosts to seal off the game 1-0.  In fact, it was QPR’s first win in eight games.

The Argentine manager shared the reason which played a big part in his side’s defeat (h/t Leeds Live):

“We didn’t take advantage of the first half.

“In our best moment in the first half, we had Liam Cooper out so we couldn’t dominate as we had been doing.”

Bielsa believes the absence of the skipper allowed the hosts to take control in the second half.

Cooper was forced to the sidelines in the dying minutes of the first half as he received treatment for a cut in his head. Prior to that, the visitors were seemed to be in complete control. (h/t Leeds Live)

“From that moment the game changed, it was not as natural as it as before. They could counter-attack and they created danger.”

Bielsa’s team suffered a tough loss against Norwich City at the start of the month.

However, the Whites revived their promotion hope by securing a final minute draw against Middlesbrough, followed by consecutive wins against Swansea and Bolton Wanderers.
