The Welsh striker has been in excellent form for the Whites this season. Having been a regular for the side, Roberts has netted 3 goals and provided 4 assists so far.

The Argentine manager said that Roberts excels much better at the playmaking role.

“His best position is where he’s playing right now. Behind the striker, as a playmaker.”

Bielsa also lauded the 20-year-old’s versatility in the front-line.

“But at the same time, he can play as a number nine, and also as a winger.”

Upon signing for LUFC last year, Roberts was off to a frustrating start, getting sidelined for months, owing to injury.

However, he recovered quickly and was able to feature from the start of this season.

He was awarded man of the match i last month’s game against his former club, West Bromwich Albion.

Bielsa also added that he was keeping a close eye on U-23 stars, given that Jordan Stevens was named in the squad.
