Leeds United vs Birmingham City Prediction – Leeds United line-up

After a disappointing loss at Millwall just before this international break, Leeds United will be aiming to resume their season on a positive note when they face Birmingham City at Elland Road this Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men have made a decent enough start to another quest for a promotion-winning season. They are currently fifth in the table, but just two points behind leaders West Brom.

On Saturday, the Whites face a Birmingham side who have been inconsistent so far but can play good football on their day. So this won’t be an easy game for the home side.

Team News

Gaetano Berardi was wrongly red carded against Millwall and he won his appeal to remain in contention to start tomorrow. Jamie Shackleton and Liam Cooper won’t come back to fitness before mid-November.

Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw are doubts for this game.

Predicted Leeds United XI

Formation – 4-1-4-1

Kiko Casilla (GK)

The Spaniard is their first-choice keeper and would start on Saturday as usual.

Luke Ayling (RB)

The right-back is expected to start on Saturday and he should look to perform better than the last game.

Ben White (CB)

The loanee has made a good start to the campaign. He is certain to start this weekend.

Gaetano Berardi (CB)

His red card against Millwall was called off, meaning he would start against Birmingham City.

Ezgjan Alioski (LB)

Bielsa has preferred Alioski at left-back for some time now. That would be the case this weekend.

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

Phillips is one of the first names on the team sheet and is certain to start on Saturday.

Helder Costa (RW)

With Hernandez a doubt for this game, Costa could start on the right wing against Birmingham City.

Mateusz Klich (RCM)

Klich is another one of those certain names on the team sheet on a weekly basis. That should be the case this weekend.

Stuart Dallas (LCM)

Dallas is almost certain to partner Klich in attacking midfield behind the striker.

Jack Harrison (LW)

Harrison has been in and out of form so far this season. He might as well start on Saturday amidst a lack of options in that position.
