Leeds United vs Huddersfield Prediction: Leeds United line-up

Leeds United faces a visit to the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday to face Huddersfield Town in the Championship.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side currently sit in second place in the Championship after an excellent start to the season. They thrashed Middlesbrough 4-0 over the weekend and will be aiming to continue their winning run against Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield, meanwhile, are 19th in the table and head into Saturday’s contest on the back of a 5-2 mauling at the hands of Bristol City.

Team News

Kalvin Phillips picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the 4-0 victory over Middlesbrough, which has ruled him out of Saturday’s trip to Huddersfield due to a one-game automatic suspension.

Adam Forshaw and Tyler Roberts are likely to miss out through ongoing injury issues, but the Whites should have Eddie Nketiah back available after he made his comeback from a month-long layoff against Boro.

Probable Leeds United XI

Formation: 3-3-3-1

Kiko Casilla (GK)

The Spaniard kept a clean sheet against Middlesbrough and will be hoping to keep one at Huddersfield.

Luke Ayling (RCB)

Ayling has thrived in a back-three system and should keep his place in the team.

Gaetano Berardi (CB)

Berardi could be handed a start at the heart of a three-man backline. The Swiss has to be at his best to keep the hosts at bay.

Cooper will complete the back three against the Terriers like he has done before.

Stuart Dallas (RM)

Dallas has been one of Leeds’ consistent performers this season and deserves to retain his place in the team.

Ben White (CDM)

With Phillips suspended, Bielsa could start White in the holding role. White, on loan from Brighton, has established himself as a key figure in Leeds’ side, playing every single minute of their league campaign so far. He’ll be keen to make an impact from a midfield role on Saturday.

Klich scored a brace in the victory over Middlesbrough on Saturday. The Pole should keep his place in the team.

Helder Costa (RW)

Scored a fantastic goal against Boro and will be hoping to get himself on the score sheet again.

Jack Harrison (LW)

Harrison’s performance levels have improved since October. He has nailed down his place on the left flank and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t continue.

Behind the striker in the hole, Hernandez gets the space to work his magic on the ball. His creativity will be crucial to open up Huddersfield’s defence at the weekend.
