Likely Arsenal Lineup To Play In The New 3-4-3 System With New Signings Next Season

Predicted 3-4-3 Arsenal Lineup For 2017/18 Season

Arsene Wenger could have lost his job after his side failed to qualify for the Champions League but his 20-year tenure at the club has given him another couple of years to lift the club back to glory. The manager found consistency hard to come by until late last season, but a positive change was propelled by their change to a 3-4-3 system.

The French manager has rarely shifted from his 4-2-3-1 formation at the Emirates in many years but the success Antonio Conte has found at the Stamford Bridge saw Wenger shift to three at the back, helping his side finish in a decent position.

It is to be seen if Wenger sticks to it next season or shifts back to a more traditional one but how will Arsenal look next season if Wenger decides to go in with a 3-4-3 formation? Let’s see.

Defence

Petr Cech might find himself in goal for another year at the Emirates but Wenger might look to add another player to help smoothen the transition.

Young Rob Holding did a superb job last season and he will push for a place in the first team. However, German star Shkodran Mustafi might keep his place in the starting XI on the right side of the back three.

French star Laurent Koscielny has been linked with an exit but it is hard to see Wenger let him leave this summer. He should start at the heart of the defensive line for Arsenal. Spanish star Nacho Monreal was seamless in his role as a part of the back three. He could keep his place on the left side of the defence, fighting for it with Holding and Gabriel.

Midfield

Spanish star Hector Bellerin should keep his place in the first team next season at right wing-back. He has been linked with a move to Barcelona but has a huge contract at the Emirates and is not going anywhere, anytime soon. Newbie Sead Kolasinac is already making headlines for the Gunners and it will be exciting to see what he will add at left wing-back in the first team next season.

Swiss international Granit Xhaka was superb last season and might keep his place as a part of the midfield two. Aaron Ramsey played a good partner to Xhaka and unless Wenger spends on a new midfielder, the duo should play in the midfield next season.

Attack

Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly close to a move to the Emirates and beyond doubt, he is the man who would lead the attack for the side next season. Chilean star Alexis Sanchez has extensively been linked with an exit and if he leaves, Arsenal will have enough money to replace him adequately. German playmaker Mesut Ozil however, is expected to stay and should start on the right-hand side of the attack, to finish Arsenal’s lineup for next season.
