Liverpool striker Christian Benteke had been a major disappointment after he joined the Reds from Aston Villa last transfer window.
However reports from Daily Mail has suggested that the player is currently in discussion with Crystal Palace and the discussion is going smoothly. There is a positive vibe and the Belgian striker is likely to leave Anfield for a transfer fee of £30 million.
Cyrstal Palace started last season brilliantly but waned after a while due to lack of firepower. They believe Christian Benteke could be the solution. Liverpool on the other hand wants to sell Benteke as the manager, Jurgen Klop, does not feel that Benteke fits in his plan for the future of the club. Liverpool however wants to recover most of what they paid for Benteke and £30 million is almost the whole fee that the Reds had spent on his transfer. After the arrival of Sadio Mane, Benteke’s game time is set to reduce even more if he happens to stay back at Anfield.
