Liverpool opinion: Should the Reds make a move for Lorenzo Insigne?
The Mirror has reported that Liverpool are back in the race for Serie A superstar Lorenzo Insigne as the club look for reinforcements. Jurgen Klopp has built a near perfect team at Liverpool and the world has taken notice of it.
Virgil Van Dijk has been named the player of the year (Daily Mail), Sadio Mane has Real Madrid chasing him (Daily Mail) and Mohamed Salah has Juventus after him (Daily Mail). Things could get complicated for the club in the near future but at the moment, Klopp has at his disposal a near perfect team.
That team is challenging Manchester City neck to neck this season in the Premier League, as the Cityzens have just a one-point lead. In all likelihood, Pep Guardiola and his men could end up as the Premier League title winners.
But Liverpool have other nails in the fire, as they also face Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals. Though the Reds will put up an incredible fight, it just might not be enough in the end.
This is where Lorenzo Insigne can step in, as the Italian has the ability to boost any team he joins. He did that on loan at Pescara in the 2011/12 season where he finished with 18 goals and 14 assists in all competitions, helping the team fight for promotion.
Things continued once he returned to Napoli and since then, Insigne has averaged 8 goals and 10 assists a season for the Partenopei.
Under Maurizio Sarri, Lorenzo Insigne turned into a beast of a player. He was at times unplayable and combined with his work ethic, he has become a menace to defenders all over Europe.
If Liverpool do indeed make the move for the Italian forward, then he can undoubtedly do that for them as well.
However, given the fact that the club does have a world-class front-line, the Reds only need to make the move if they lose either Mane or Salah in the summer. Otherwise, any move for Lorenzo Insigne will only be detrimental to both sides.

Conclusion
Lorenzo Insigne is ready for the move to a better league in the world and Liverpool could prove to be just the club that can help take his game to another level.
Furthermore, with him at their disposal, Liverpool could have their game-changer and someone more consistent than either of their players.
