Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup To Play Against Borussia Dortmund- Allen And Firmino To Start?

Liverpool stunned Thomas Tuchel’s side at Signal Iduna Park on last Thursday as the team managed to score the crucial away goal through the young Belgian Divock Origi. The goal was well worked and the side almost scored the second in the dying minutes of the first half but the Dortmund’s keeper was quick to react to the shot of Origi.

The hosts did score the equalizer in the 48 minute through Mats Hummels but the game finished all square. Klopp’s men did a fantastic job to hold on the score line and had an away goal advantage for the next leg.

The game will be played on 15th of April at Anfield and the confident Liverpool side will give Dortmund a run for the money.

Here is the predicted lineup for Liverpool which will face Borussia Dortmund on Friday-

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet-

In the first leg, The Belgian showed some tricky legs in the first half of the game and also made some couple of good saves and was calm between the sticks. Had a decent night overall and, made some decisive saves from Reus’s shots. He will be the one between the sticks for sure in their next game.

Defenders: Clyne, Sakho, Lovren, Moreno-

Clyne was thoroughly tested at his usual position in their last Europa’s fixture and he did prove his worth right away. Had a rough start of the game but, was disciplined for the rest of the game. Supported the attack when required and also joined the defense. Clyne will surely be Klopp’s first priority for the game. Sakho and Lovren, on the other hand, both showed a character in their game. They have the desire and the arrogance to face the players like Aubameyang and Reus. Both the center backs are capable of making some crucial blocks and tackles and will surely start in their next game. Moreno had a decent game and is improving game after game. So, he will be the number one choice for left backs role.

Midfielders: Milner, Can, Allen, Firmino, Coutinho-

Milner is a class player. He is not the quickest player on the pitch but, he has the vision to set the attack of the team and is also capable of crossing the balls and proving some long balls in the danger area. The German, Emre Can is now settled in the squad and is now an integral part of the squad. He dominates the central area and is a great tackler of the ball and cannot be left out in the next game or the team will be in trouble.

Joe Allen replaced Henderson in their last European game and showed what he is capable of. As Henderson will be still out because of the injury, he might get a chance to start his game. As Firmino returned to the squad against Stoke he might get his start against Dortmund as well and can be deployed at his natural number 10 position. Talking about Coutinho, I don’t think anyone would argue over him. So, Coutinho.

Striker: Divock Origi-

Showed his skills in the last European game and shined in his last premier league games as well. Scored 2 goals after coming on to the field as a substitute against Stoke. He is quick and is a versatile player. I’m pretty sure that, Klopp will be using this young Belgian again.
