Man City Opinion: Why should Man City revive interest in Cengiz Under?
Manchester City have not been among the active sides in the current transfer window, as they have only signed Spanish midfielder Rodri from Atletico Madrid.
While there is no need for the Cityzens to be extravagant in the window because of an unbreachable squad at their disposal, Pep Guardiola still needs to take certain things into his account – such as Leroy Sane’s possible exit and a future without David Silva.

What could the Turkish wonderkid bring to the table at Etihad?
Under has been phenomenal for AS Roma since joining them in 2017. In the 2018/19 campaign, he racked up a total of 6 goals and 11 assists, ending up as the fifth-highest provider of assists (8 assists) in the Serie A.
Taking a close look at his attacking index for the past two seasons, Under has evolved into a much better player, especially with his decision-making skills – considering he only provided only two assists in his debut season.
Besides that, he is more versatile and can fit in several positions up front, although he is generally deployed as an attacking midfielder or a right-winger.
The 22-year-old completed a pass success percentage of 78, with an average of 1.2 key passes and 1.5 shots per game – welcoming stats for a player who wasn’t an indispensable starter and appeared as a substitute on 9 occasions.
In contrast, Under looks like a completely different figure with his national side, as his stats are overwhelming (an average of 2.8 dribbles, 1.8 key passes in the Nations League). Not to mention, he has received 17 international caps for Turkey to date, with a goal tally of 6.
Under’s full potential would be exposed only if he chooses to play in a competitive league like the Premier League under a world-class manager like Guardiola.
The Turkish youngster would be useful in many ways for the former Barcelona manager, given his sheer talent combined with versatility.
