Manchester United opinion: Red Devils should push hard to sign Isco Alarcon
The Daily Mail has reported that Real Madrid are looking to offload a few players in the summer and one them is playmaker Isco Alarcon.
The Spaniard had been out of favour under former manager Santiago Solari but with new boss Zinedine Zidane coming in, things were supposed to change for the better.
With the Los Blancos looking to overhaul their squad, the Spaniard could be one of the casualties this summer. For Manchester United, this is a move that would suit the club, with them getting linked with him earlier in the season (Sun).
With the Red Devils appointing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as permanent manager, his first few games haven’t gone according to plan. While they did beat Watford, the Red Devils didn’t look comfortable and struggled to find their rhythm all game.
Their poor form followed them into the next game and they paid the price with a 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers. This spell of form showcases exactly why they need a player like Isco, with the Red Devils being far too reliant on Paul Pogba at the moment.
The Frenchman is one of the best midfielders in the world but his recent form hasn’t been encouraging. This has seen Manchester United produce a few lacklustre performances in recent weeks.
Bringing in someone as talented as Isco would definitely help them move forward and provide them with another threat.
While there is no doubting just how good Paul Pogba is, the Frenchman cannot do everything on his own. Isco, on the other hand, is a magician on his day and has the talent to flourish for a club like Manchester United.
His versatility allows him to play anywhere across the front-line or in a deeper position as a central midfielder.
Wherever you put the Spaniard, he tends to either create or score goals for both Real Madrid and Spain. That’s what Manchester United need at the moment, and it’s the kind of player they’ve missed.

Manchester United have a good team at their disposal at the moment, but they are still a long way off from becoming title challengers. Adding a player as talented as Isco Alarcon would certainly push them in the right direction.
