Man Utd reviving interest in this Copa America winner would make their attacking force unstoppable – Agreed?

Man Utd Option: Why should Man Utd revive interest in Everton’s Richarlison?

With just days away from the end of the summer transfer window, Manchester United have to deal with the hectic task of preparing for a future without Romelu Lukaku, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Serie A.

However, Solskjaer can cope without the Belgian striker should he resume his interest in Brazilian sensation Richarlison.

The Everton striker was subject to transfer interest from the Red Devils earlier this year but the move failed to progress in the end.

How would Richarlison help United reinforce their attack?

The former Fluminense man had his breakthrough with the Toffees in his debut season itself, racking up 14 goals and 2 assists in all competitions. He later ended up as the club’s top scorer.

Following his impressive season with the Toffees, the 22-year-old also played a huge part for the Brazilain national team in winning the Copa America.

Richarlison

The ex-Watford man is synonymous with the winger role as well as a centre-forward role.

Breaking down his stats from the last term, the Brazilian prospect was not the best when it comes to passing, as he completed a pass success percentage of only 68 in the Premier League. Yet, he has got an eye for a clinical finish.

However, his below-par stats in few aspects can be discarded since he was deployed in several positions under Marco Silva.

Elsewhere at Old Trafford, the Red Devils endured a lacklustre season the last term. As a means of a squad overhaul, they have acquired Welsh prospect Daniel James, who is already brimming with confidence and potential.

The addition of Richarlison would add enough firepower to their attack alongside Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

However, the best position for Richarlison would be either playing as a main or auxiliary striker in a 4-4-2 formation. Not to mention, he also doesn’t shy away from playing at the flanks. This would ease the pressure off the Norwegian manager while organizing the attacking line-up.

Everybody witnessed English prospect Rashford’s scoring burden in the previous season. To that end, Brazilian ace Richarlison would be his perfect strike partner.

Final Verdict

As far as the transfer window and the pre-season games are concerned, United are looking in fine touch. Going forward, they should add depth to their attacking-line and Richarlison is not a bad signing at all.
