Manchester United Or Chelsea? Where should This Feared Striker Go Next Season?

It is an end of an era in Paris as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is more or less set to leave the club where he has become their top scorer. The 34-year-old Swede is again leading the Ligue 1 scoresheet with 41 goals in 44 games this season and should end the season way ahead in the lead for the scoring record this season.

Ibra hasn’t been coy about his future and has often stated that if he does get the right deal, he will make a move. He also has stated that he could retire at the end of the season but we find that hard to believe as he has one major club title missing from his kitty, the UEFA Champions League.

The Swede has missed out on this title at both Milan clubs, Juventus, PSG and Barcelona and well even if he does move it could be to the MLS or England. Manchester United have been linked with a move for the talented striker.

Chelsea are also in the running to sign the Ligue 1 top scorer but with so many offers, which one would be the best for Ibra?

London or Manchester? A tough choice to make

Both clubs have flattered to deceive this year and have fallen way short of the lofty goals they set at the start of the season. Manchester United still might make it into the Champions League next season if they finish fourth but the amount of money spent on bringing players into the club has been a sour point this season with many not living up to the hype.

Chelsea, on the other hand, imploded under Jose Mourinho and the prediction that the Portuguese would actually lift another Premier League crown this season seems to be a distant joke rather than a reality with the club struggling to do anything of note this year.

There is a silver lining for Chelsea as they would be under new management next year with Antonio Conte picking up the slack from Mourinho. The Italian will have to spend a lot and rejig the team by getting rid of a lot of deadwood and well, Zlatan could well feature as one player who does sign for the Blues.

Manchester United also seems like a great destination for Zlatan as they need someone who can lead the line. Though many would state that Zlatan has gotten old, he still is one of the fittest players and if the right delivery is provided to him in the box, he will score more often than any of the United stars.

The leading scorer for Manchester United is Wayne Rooney with 14 goals this season in all competitions while Chelsea have Diego Costa leading the charts with 15. The decision to take for the Swede is a tough one, Chelsea do have quality on the wings with Willian and Eden Hazard while Manchester United have pace up front with the likes of Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial.

Zlatan though needs to go to a club where the future is more secure and that would be Chelsea. Antonio Conte may or may not want to sign the striker but if given the chance, Zlatan should choose London over Manchester.

Conte would fix all the issues that the club have faced this season while Louis van Gaal would only dilly dally next season, even if he does stay at the club. The only way Zlatan might end up signing for Manchester United is if Jose Mourinho joins the Manchester club and that is a big if.
