He might have been on the receiving end of some criticism, but Manchester United’s local boy Danny Welbeck had his fair share of fans at Old Trafford. It was a surprise move by Arsenal to go for United’s youth product, but after landing Radamel Falcao on a season long loan deal, it was sensible enough from the English striker to move to a club which offers regular first team football.
Paul Scholes has already expressed his displeasure in letting Welbeck join Arsenal and believes that he has a bright future ahead of him.
“My feeling was that if he could have got through this transfer window and stayed at the club he could have been a part of United’s future over the next few years.”
“It shows how highly regarded Danny is that a club as big as Arsenal signed him. He will be a good signing for Arsène Wenger,”
Nevertheless, listen to the fan made poem called “Danny will come good”.
