We can’t remember who brought the first report of Manchester United being interested in Hirving Lozano but like a game of Chinese Whisper, the message keeps changing pretty much every day in the media.
First, there were reports of interest from Manchester United. Then there were reports that the player’s father has confirmed the move followed by the club denying any such talk with United. And now in a fresh twist of the tale, Lozano has admitted that he knows nothing (just like Jon Snow) about the move or even interest from United. This comes only a day after he admitted that he will be willing to “give it all” in order to play for Manchester United and to make the move happen.
Lozano himself even talked up a switch, telling Mexican publication ESTO: “Of course the thought of playing for Manchester United excites me, and I need to give it my all [for the move to happen].”
Now the 20 year old has said in a recent interview that he is not aware of any talk between the clubs or of any interest from the Red Devils.
“It’s nice to hear people talk about a potential move to Manchester United, but it would have been better if it was actually a fact,’ he told Mexican outlet record.com.mx.
“I don’t know anything about United’s interest. If the club tell me anything, then we will see, but I don’t know anything about it at this stage.
“I am at Pachuca now and we will see what happens in the future.”
Yesterday Pachuca’s manager Diego Alonso ruled out selling Lozano, telling TV station Univision: “I am very calm because I know he [Lozano] has spoken with club officials. He spoke with Jesus Martinez and they explained to him the reality of the situation.
“And the reality is that today he must be fully focused on Pachuca because there is absolutely nothing [with Manchester United].”
This makes us think, that he may have a pretty good PR personnel.
